NON-MOTORIZED MOBILITY IN THE HISTORIC CENTER OF PUEBLA: A CONSEQUENCE OF PATRIMONIALIZATION

Non-motorized mobility, mainly pedestrians, corresponds in most trips, to the last mile of movement of people within cities, plays an important role for usar interaction, encourages recreation, access to cultural assets and the economy of cities, since the allows access to good and services in urban centers, and encourages consumption activities by visitors and residents. The objective of this article is to share some research results about the role of these forms of displacement in the tourist city and its consumption habits, specifically in the Historic Center of Puebla. Based on a theorical bibliographic review, official documents, and field trips, the fragmentary and instrumental nature of mobility in Puebla is unraveled. The research in question has a qualitative approach in the analysis of the role of mobility in the heritage city.
