Abstract

The urban dynamics of cities is regularly overwhelmed by growth processes, there is no territorial ecological balance. The city of Culiacan, in ten years, haslost more than ten percent of its vegetation cover. The Cerro de las Siete Gotas (Siete Gotas hill) is the largest of the Culiacan hill systems and offers the greatest number of environmental services to the city and its population. It is an environmental, recreational and cultural offer that can become an
ecological reference for the development of the city, especially for the eastern sector and the surrounding towns. In this article, we show a planning exercise that offers alternatives for the rescue of the Cerro de las Siete Gotas so that it functions as a place of recreation and encounter with nature through outdoor activities. The proposal includes strategic lines of action and a vision for 2030. It is a pact between citizens and territory to guarantee the conservation of our natural ecosystems.
