The article’s goal is to examine two urban renewal megaprojects recently inaugurated and going through the property sale agreement and building processes. The purpose is to identify the possibility of built in heritage management to give sustainability and identity from a Cultural Geography point of view. Identifying differences and similarities between both study cases with the intent of critical theoretical approximation, regarding the building of urban renewal megaprojects in the neoliberal times, analyzing the usage advantages of built in heritage or the opposite, the exclusion of it.
