ANALYSIS OF DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN A TRUCKING COMPANY

Abstract

Worldwide, the presence of COVID-19 has drastically affected people's mental health, this is
how this pandemic has caused symptoms of anxiety and depression in workers in various
contexts due to the epidemiological situation that is still present. Therefore, this research aimed
determine if the employees of a transport company experienced depression and anxiety during
the COVID-19 pandemic. A quantitative, non-experimental, transverse and descriptive method was used. A non-probabilistic sample was used and a total of 281 data were collected, the study
subjects were employees of a transportation company located on the northern border of
Chihuahua, for this a 9-item questionnaire was used which was applied to each one of the
participants at their workplace. The results show that 64% of the workers of the transport
company, present problems of depression and anxiety because of COVID-19, now, this
affectation not only occurs in the organizational context, if not in all sectors where people they
develop and that in some way affects their health and performance.
