THE THE UPS AND DOWNS OF TOURISM DUE TO DE IMPACT OF PANDEMY IN THE GUERRERO ́S TOURIST CITIES

Abstract

The crisis and the new global order caused by the pandemic, it should force us and give us the opportunity to rethink the ways and methods of intervening in the territory. In the current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, the approach must be rethought in terms of the different
levels such as economic, social, environmental and technological of the territory. Tourism is one of the most important sectors in recent decades; it has become one of the most dynamic and fastest growing sectors in the world. In the tourist cities of Guerrero state, the effects of the pandemic have been visible and have affected the different activities that are part of the tourism sector and, consequently, these ones collapse. Likewise, the cultural activities that have served as an attraction in these cities were also affected by the pandemic, for this reason it is intended to reactivate them to recreate elements of attraction for tourism. The economy of Guerrero ́s state has been characterized by having an orientation towards
the tourist industry, since its economy is based on this sector, for this reason an approach should be sought with all the actors that make up this activity to work together with the sectors public, private and social, in favor of an appropriate recovery that should have an impact at different levels. With the isolation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it places the entity in a critical situation, since tourism has been one of the most affected economic
activities, jobs in this activity have been lost. This problem may be delayed, but it can be solved with the participation of the different sectors.
