Abstract

This paper research work aims to make an analysis of the growth that e-commerce presents given the current pandemic situation. It is intended to understand how electronic commerce originated and particularly what has been the path it has had since its arrival to Mexico until today so that it
is considered as the method of consumption that, due to its characteristics, leads companies not only to have a competitive advantage over its competition, if not it also represents the ideal way to carry out the commercial activity as such, after the government imposed the confinement and stoppage of activities as a preventive measure to contain the number of infections during the current health crisis due to COVID-19. The methodology used in this research work is based on the type of research that was carried out and that is of a descriptive documentary nature. The results obtained showed that the growth of e-commerce in recent years is highly related to the growth in the number of users of electronic devices with internet service and that the main factor that is leading e-commerce to have a great boom in our country due to the COVID-19 pandemic it is without a doubt confinement. Fact that has directly impacted on the decision of Internet users to adopt e-commerce as a means of consumption and become digital consumers according to the estimates found.
