The current work analyzes the dispute, negotiation and social exchange for public space on San Pedro Cholula Puebla, as a product of the tense confluence of several rationalities, institutions and narratives expressed in socio-spatial appropriations that heterogeneous human groups carry out about it. In order to legitimize and reproduce the socio-economic use of space, which hold various social subsistence that with an ethnographic approach intend to contribute to the anthropological discussion on the hybrid configurations between global capitalist economies and contemporary local gift economies.
