YOUNG PEOPLE APPROPRIATING A SPACE: THE EXFACTORY OF SAN BRUNO, XALAPA, VERACRUZ
Keywords:
interdisciplinarity, young, appropriationAbstract
The aim of this text is to show how young people appropriate an anomalous space in that it is neither
private nor public, and when they make it their own, they have multiple possibilities of creating
possible worlds by objectifying their imaginaries in a series of cultural and sporting practices, without
this being exempt from cultural, social and economic conflicts.
The text is divided as follows: first, a series of considerations on how to approach a socially complex
problem from an interdisciplinary methodology, second, how an interdisciplinary relationship
between two disciplines (anthropology and architecture) occurs, and third, how young people
appropriate the ex-factory of San Bruno and its possibilities of creating possible worlds.
