Abstract

This article has the purpose of knowing what contemporary cities narrate and why, in order to understand how they are transformed, and reflect on how we can study and project them in this 21st century. Faced with increasingly complex and diverse cities, it is necessary to delve into their temporal and subjective dimensions from an artistic and creative approach; Due to this, narrative is proposed as a perspective approach to the study of the city. We understand narrative epistemologically, as a way of understanding the world and life, and from there we build a methodological proposal to read cities. We put our narrative methodological process to the test in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and investigate the key processes of its transformation.
