Abstract

Landscaping refers to the natural context that surrounds human activities, which can be established in an urban, suburban, or rural environment. The centuries-old experience of different generations has made it possible to confirm that nature, which is the raw material of landscaping, is beneficial for people. Currently this has been corroborated through various research and with the support of sophisticated technologies in which medicine has played an
important role in affirming the therapeutic benefits that come with being in contact with nature. This is important from different perspectives since currently a health problem such as mental illnesses is gaining prominence on a global scale (a situation that was accused and strengthened by the pandemic caused by Sars-CoV2 that began at the end of 2019) and the predominant treatment that the Western world provides for all experiences derived from this conflict is allopathic medicine. However, history and science have shown that urban green areas are contributors to mental health treatments, and this is the objective of this work, to substantiate and make evident the alternatives and possibilities that landscaping provides for resilience in the post pandemic stage.
