Abstract

Everybody knows the big cities in the world, they are always the location for blockbusters of the big north American companies, nevertheless maybe we have never been in those cities itself, maybe everything we know about the big metropolis of the world its thanks to fictional stories or a documentary, thanks to cinema at the end of the day, a way of communication that not only show to us a space, but it actually let us explore it with the stars of their stories. This is an investigation that began with that idea in mind, the experience of getting to know a city without actually being in it, the experience of seeing your own neighborhood on the screen and then remembering that you were there o maybe the experience of not recognizing that place. It all about trying to find out what they did to shows us the urban space, how they did it and why. All of this not in the big metropolis of the world, but in Hermosillo, Sonora with two concrete examples, the film: El Jeremías.
