Abstract

The study of the imaginaries of fear with a focus on the urban design of contemporary cities, allows us to understand the relationship between the design of the urban space and how society lives the space in reference to these new urban forms that generate risks, reflected in insecurity, anguish, panic and simply, distrust in the other. The imaginaries have been well studied, but little applied from urbanism and much less from architecture, it is relevant to recognize that line of thought built to understand the concept of trust versus generator of fears, risks and fear itself.
