Natural heritage is a treasure in the long mexican territory, however, most of it is treated by
unsustainable projects, bad tourism management, lack of scientific information, by ignorance
and gubernamental power abuse. This article describes the results of a research of the social
actors in Alchichica Lake in Tepeyahualco, Puebla. This lake is a crater-lake that is the home
of six endemic species, such as the stromatolits, which are considered to be the first living
organisms in our planet.
The reach of this research identifies and characterizes the social actors by defining who they are, the
way they perceive tourism and the knowledge of the biological richness. The method strategy is
qualitative focused in the observation and interviews in situ.
